Beltangady, Feb 12: Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner, Dr Rajendra K V, on Thursday February 11, visited the parents of Sanath Shetty from Kashibettu who went missing due to the landslide which occurred at Bangarapalke waterfall in Malavanthige village. He consoled them and said encouraging words.
The search operation conducted in the last two weeks failed to yield any result. Speaking to Sanath s parents and brothers, he said that the operation is continuing with the help of government employees from different departments and the public. He said that all efforts have been made to trace Sanath and the district administration has extended maximum support. He said that a decision on the future of the operation would be taken after visiting the site of the tragedy.

Beltangady, Feb 1: State minister for rural development, K S Eshwarappa, delivered an inflammatory address at a meeting organized at Ujire on Sunday January 31 to congratulate BJP candidates from Beltangady Mandal, who came out victorious in the recent local body election held recently.
