Byju s has referred its dispute with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to an arbitrator and is trying to settle the matter. The company has filed objections to the insolvency petition filed by BCCI and has applied for reference of the dispute to arbitration.
The NCLT however opined that arbitration may not come in the way of an insolvency proceedings initiated by BCCI. Byju s however contended that there are both questions of law and fact involved in the dispute that could be adjudicated only through arbitration.

The company noted that the case contained both law and fact, which could only be settled via arbitration. Counsel for the BCCI, however, denied any negotiations and sought more time to consult with the Board.
