A good crowd braved temperatures in the 30s Saturday evening in downtown Fairfield for the annual Christmas parade. There were over 50 entries in the parade, which lasted around 35 minutes. Hal Bryant served as the parade marshal for this year's event. Prior to the parade, the family of former Wayne County Deputy Sean Riley lighted the official Christmas Tree on the courthouse square. The Riley family is also collecting donations, along with the Wayne County Sheriff's Department, at the Festival of Lights in Leo French Park this Wednesday. Funds will go towards the purchase of a featured display for the Festival of Lights.
