KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. Three people are dead after a Thursday afternoon crash east of Warsaw.
Kosciusko County police said it happened at 3:39 p.m. on Old Road 30 just east of State Road 13.
A preliminary investigation indicates the driver of an eastbound car was passing an eastbound motorcycle and collided head-on with an SUV.
The driver of the SUV, 66-year-old Teressa Johnson of Warsaw, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her daughter, 43-year-old Amanda Johnson, was a passenger in the SUV. She was also killed in the crash.
NAPPANEE, Ind. Police in Kosciusko County are investigating the theft of nearly 20 bulldogs.
Police say that 19 bulldogs were taken from a Nappanee dog breeder’s barn during the overnight hours Saturday leading into Sunday.
The dogs included 12 English bulldogs that were seven weeks old; six French bulldogs that were three months old; and one two-year-old French bulldogs, according to
The dogs were valued at $3,500 each, making the heist worth $66,500.
The breeder, Homer Slabaugh, reported the dogs stolen Sunday morning after he went to the barn where the dogs were kept and found them missing.
Police say the dogs are micro-chipped, but investigators have no leads.
North Manchester man dies in crash

Police in Kosciusko County are investigating an early morning fatal crash involving a North Manchester man.
Officers said they responded to the collision just before 2:30 a.m. today at the intersection of Country Club Road and County Road 200 South.
Police believe Anthony W. Sumner, 51, was traveling east on CR 200 in a Ram 1500 truck when it failed to stop at County Club and hit a tree.
No other information was provided.
