Two minutes silence has been observed around the country for Armistice Day. It marked the moment in 1918 when the fighting came to an end in the first world war. There were ceremonies at the National Memorial arboretum in staffordshire, and at the cenotaph on whitehall in london, from where our correspondent Adina Campbell reports.
