Tom, where did the pursuit first start . Reporter it is such an odd case. Initially it started way out in the east bay. Lets take a look at the video that we shot. Before noon on westbound 580, a dublin district chp officer got a bolo to look out for a silver chevy impala being driven erratically. The pursuit went from the dublin district right through the san leandro district and into the oakland district to just past where 580 intersects with highway 24. The driver, in attempting to get away, got wedged between a transit shuttlebus and the median barrier. The chp then blocked him in and the driver ran into the chp car and the bus trying to get away. The chp officer, one of them was discharged a weapon but no one was struck and apparently no one injured. The officers overcame the resisting driver and transported the pers ....
