Call me “Chicken Little,” because the sky is falling, in the tiny town of Easton. Here I sit, shell-shocked two days after the May 3 zoning appeals board meeting in Easton, regarding a hastily approved and poorly considered proposal to construct a chicken farm with a slaughterhouse in a quiet residential subdivision. I feel the need to warn everyone, with hyperbole, that their tree-lined, peaceful country roads are not safe from what can be called a glitch in the town plan as regards adding farms to our town base.
