We review WI McKenzie Scottish Peat Smoked Whiskey, a craft release from State-38 Distillery in Colorado that includes peat-smoked, cherry wood-smoked, and coffee-smoked malts.
State 38 Distilling, as it enters its eighth year of operation, recently unveiled a new bottle package look and some new whiskeys to share with the people of Colorado. As well, they dropped the news that their full line up of whiskeys, including the new Straight Rye and Wheat Whiskeys, will now be on the shelves of retailers throughout the Centennial State.
According to State 38 co-owner and distilling partner Don Hammond, the choice to move to a more rounded bottle and to update the labels for each of their premium whiskeys was a chance to pay tribute to Colorado and the history of their chosen profession.
