Allegations. Now, i wont even introduce myself by my name anymore. I get nervous when i bump into someone i know in the Grocery Store who says my name. Im worried about who is listening. I get nervous when i have to give my name for food orders. Im always concerned of who is around me. Ive lost my name, and ive lost my reputation. Ive lost my sense of security. A lot of threats, wishing death upon me. Telling me that, you know, im ill be in jail with my mother. Saying things like, be glad its 2020 and not 1920. Were a lot of these threats and vile comments racist in nature . A lot of them were racist. A lot of them were hateful. Giuliani conceded in a court filing last month hed made false statements about freeman and moss. He failed to produce any evidence in the Discovery Portion of the case, which led to the judges Defamation Ruling here. Freeman and moss said the ruling brings them one step closer to rebuilding their lives. Spokesperson for giuliani says he has been, quote, wrongly
i mean, they re remembering what we were able to do in world war ii, what we ve done time and again. to have allowed the peaceful demonstration of power to be undone last january 6th, and to now have the accountability for it, it s a really important thing. i was thinking when the rev was talking about the 1960s, both of you were. i was at that peaceful march on washington in 1963. it was one of the most extraordinary moments of my life. this huge civil rights movement, 250,000 people, it was such a worry there might be violence. they closed liquor stores. they didn t allow the people coming on buses to stay overnight. they closed down games. it turned out perfectly because of martin luther king s leadership. then to see the riots later in the 60s, you had to punish those people. martin luther king and lyndon johnson were heartbroken by that. law and order has to be enforced at the same time.
committee s request. congressman jim jordan of ohio has not yet responded. do you think the committee would be willing to subpoena fellow members of congress? yes. i think they have to. if they re going to ultimately get the answers. one thing this committee can t do, you have already walked this far. you can t turn back now and short change the american public. so, yes, they have to drag these members in and let s not forget what we re talking about here. people died at this attempted coup. people died in the storming of the capitol. law enforcement was assaulted. i mean, this wasn t just some peaceful march on washington. this was actually a violent attempted insurrection. and so when you look at the results of it i think the individuals who financed this rally have just the same culpability as those individuals who stormed the capitol and equally as culpable are the members of congress who may even be held to a higher standard. i have a feeling we ll be seeing jim jordan and many
