and you want to bring down the cost of the show. the tonight show has not been as profitable as it was years ago. he s been taking pay cuts, right? he s been taking cuts. they re going to move to new york, pay less, they re going to pay fallon less, so i think nbc is trying to make it a better business. you think it will be better? the last debacle was caused by competition. you know, they signed conan. they promised him the tonight show five years out because they didn t want him to come to fox. had conan come to fox, when american idol was a dominant show and fox was number one with adults kwaep to 49, he probably would have been very suckful. the same fear with jimmy fallon, that he would bolt? there would be competition. nbc is number one right now, and they feel they can hold on to number one. where does jay leno go?
