Nigerian Industrial Court Threatens To Jail Inspector-General Of Police, Usman Baba For Contempt

The National Industrial Court (NIC) in Abuja has threatened to send Nigeria's Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali to prison over his persistent disobedience to court’s orders. Justice Oyebiola Oyewumi, who issued the threat on behalf of the court, gave Alkali May 2, 2023 deadline to appear before the court and purge himself of contempt of the court charges or be committed to prison in line with the provisions of the law. ....

The hospitality sector is gradually becoming the mainstay of many economies in the world, and from the looks of it might also become the economic pillar of oil-rich economies such as Nigeria. With an estimation of over 4,112,445 people, a close gender balance of 2,069,309, male, and 2,043,136, female population, Delta State is considered one of the most endowed in Nigeria.
Known as the “The Big Heart” but the real popularity of the state comes from its being an oil-producing state in the Niger-Delta region. Upon arriving in Port-au-Prince the greatest challenge was to read the internal logic of the city, as there were seemingly a number of systems operating simultaneously and without resolution. Traveling along any major route, moments of complete desertion suddenly yield to moments of dense commercial activity.
