Former Blue Joe Garner netted an injury time equaliser to deny 10-man Town victory at Wigan. Will Keane’s 32nd-minute penalty had given the Blues a 1-0 half-time lead, seven minutes after Jonas Knudsen had been red-carded but sub Garner slid in the late leveller to break Town hearts and keep them nine points from safety at the bottom of the table.
Blues boss Kieran McKenna has spoken about his relationship with his assistant Martyn Pert, who also joined Town from Manchester United in mid-December.
It may only have been his second goal for Town but Jon Nolan could not conceal his delight at finding the net in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Derby to earn what could yet be a precious point.
Nsiala: Summed-Up Our Season

Central defender Toto Nsiala felt Saturday’s 2-0 home defeat to Hull City summed-up the Blues’ miserable season.
Town dominated possession - 62 per cent to 38 - and had more shots on target than the Tigers but it was the visitors who ended the game ahead on the only statistic that ultimately matters, extending the Blues winless run to 12 games.
They remain 13 points plus goal difference from safety with only seven games left.
“The game summed-up our season,” Nsiala admitted. “They had three shots on target, we had six. Two of theirs went in and three of ours were blocked on the line.
