Nearly a dozen people were displaced Saturday by an apartment fire in Parkville.Fire crews said they think the afternoon severe storms that rolled through Baltimore County are to blame.Authorities said lightning struck a home before flames took over an apartment around 3 p.m. at the Satyr Green apartments on Lowells Glen Road in Pikesville.When fire crews arrived, they said the fire was huge, billowing out of the roof.Fire investigators said a resident was outside of the apartment building getting into her car when the lightning struck.Multiple people had to be rescued from the growing fire. This truly is an act of God. This is a lightning strike, investigators are sure about that. And it s just fortunate that we don t have any injuries in this case.
