Applications now open for the community garden program

The Community Development County of Quinte is currently accepting applications for the garden program this year. The Belleville non-profit organization has been able to coordinate and help support the creation of 127 raised gardens in seven different locations in the city. Participants not only have a free and dedicated space to grow produce, but these community gardens also support the supply of fresh produce that CDC Quinte supplies to local families in need.  Jim Mallabar, the Community Garden Coordinator, notes this week that the garden program  “impacted more than 1,000 people.”   Here are where the gardens are located: 160 Roblin Road
