The Community Development County of Quinte is currently accepting applications for the garden program this year.
The Belleville non-profit organization has been able to coordinate and help support the creation of 127 raised gardens in seven different locations in the city.
Participants not only have a free and dedicated space to grow produce, but these community gardens also support the supply of fresh produce that CDC Quinte supplies to local families in need.
Jim Mallabar, the Community Garden Coordinator, notes this week that the garden program “impacted more than 1,000 people.”

The Community Development Council of Quinte (CDC Quinte) is now taking registrations for the 2021 Community Garden Program.
They currently have 127 raised beds available in seven different locations in Belleville and they have one location in Frankford as well. Registration is free, is on a first come basis and open to anyone who would like to have the opportunity to grow their own produce.
