A Virginia Beach man was jailed without bond Saturday after police say he tried to bring a gun into a non-school related football game at Potomac High School in Dumfries.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced the following road work this week:

• Kidder Township, Route 534/Hickory Run Road drainage between River Road/Tannery Road and Rout.
Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle – On August 31 at 8:57 p.m., officers responded to the area of Panther Pride Drive and Harwood Oaks Court in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shots fired call.
