DOH monitors UK, South Africa, Malaysia COVID-19 virus variants

These are the three (variants) that we are currently monitoring],” said DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire in a press briefing on Friday.  The UK and the South African variants of the SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, were not detected in the 305 samples that were recently analyzed by the Philippine Genome Center (PGC).
