Here we were thinking poor old Auckland and relaxing in level 2 complacency.

Havelock North man Patrick Dingemans has led a successful campaign to get supermarkets around the Hawke s Bay to display additional QR codes at the checkout. Photo / Warren Buckland Patrick Dingemans, 81, diligently scans QR codes for Covid-19 tracing purposes wherever he goes.
Since about October, he s grown increasingly frustrated by fellow shoppers who walk by both the QR codes and the sign-in sheet. I am concerned that there is a poor compliance with the general public scanning their phones into the QR codes that are required to be displayed by all places of business in New Zealand.

A Hawke s Bay health official has urged locals and visitors to continue using the NZ Covid Tracer app as thousands pour into the region for a weekend of events.
There is also concern about the number of people who may seek the emergency department at Hawke s Bay Hospital ahead of the Six60 concert on Saturday night.
The performance is expected to attract about 20,000 people.
Hawke s Bay District Health Board medical officer of health Dr Nick Jones said with the number of daily scans down significantly and a big weekend in Hawke s Bay, visitors and locals must do their bit to keep the region free of Covid-19.

Hawkes Bay Today Hastings mayor has reminded her constituents that we re in the middle of a pandemic after a snap survey showed a low percentage of people in the region are signing in on the Government s Covid-19 tracer app.
Hawke s Bay Today on Friday observed Covid-19 tracer app behaviour at two supermarkets, one in Napier and one in Hastings.
