India s ambitious plans to have its own space station by 2035 and have an Indian astronaut on the moon by 2040 are progressing on track, Project Director of ISRO s Chandrayaan-3 mission, P Veeramuthuvel has said.
Many are unaware that P Veeramuthuvel has a Rs 72 lakh home loan, however, the scientist decided to donate the amount he received as a reward to the institutions that helped him reach this stage in his career.
The award money will be donated equally to the alumni associations of four institutes - Elumalai Polytechnic College in Villupuram, Sri Sairam Engineering College, NIT- Trichy, and IIT-Madras.
