HEC announces overseas scholarships May 17, 2021 Islamabad : Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the Overseas Scholarships 2022 for PhD in selected fields and MS/MPhil in Engineering Technology. According to the sources, applications are invited from outstanding Pakistani/AJK nationals for the award of Ph.D. and MS/MPhil scholarships. Ph.D. scholarships are being offered in selected fields, whereas MS/MPhil scholarships are being offered in Engineering Technology, the sources told APP. Scholarships will be awarded for Spring/Fall (2022) session in HEC-identified top-ranked foreign universities of advanced countries. According to the details, as per eligibility criteria, the candidate must be a Pakistani/AJK national. While for Ph.D. scholarships, candidates must have a minimum qualification of MS/MPhil/ME or equivalent (18 years) before the closing date.

HYDERABAD: The TRS government had spent Rs 12,800 crore towards fee reimbursement to students since 2014, besides clearing accumulated arrears of Rs 1,800 crore, said TRS working president and MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao on Monday. The State government emphasized quality education, focussed on generating employment opportunities for the youth. Under TS-iPASS, industrial permits were issued to 15,000 companies that resulted in 15 lakh new jobs, he said. 75 Pakistanis to go to London to pursue PhD HEC, Queen Mary University sign MoU to train researchers ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan is striving hard to provide competent and quality staff to institutions falling under its domain. To this end, the HEC and the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) have signed a memorandum of agreement for 75 HEC scholars to pursue PhD degrees at the QMUL in the next five years. A virtual signing ceremony to this effect was organised by the British Council Pakistan in which HEC Executive Director Dr. Shaista Sohail and QMUL VicePrincipal, QMUL International Education Prof Colin Grant signed the agreement.
