KATHMANDU, Jan 12: The increase in the number of Nepali students going abroad to pursue foreign education is contributing to significant capital outflows.
Apart from tuition fees and accommodation costs, they must also account for daily living expenses such as the cost of meals and travel, health insurance premiums, the cost of textbooks and other study materials, travel expenses to and from India, and miscellaneous costs for leisure.
According to the officials, the scholarship will be open to the students who are eligible for unconditional admission to a postgraduate PhD program at an overseas academic institution ranked within the top 200 in the QS World Ranking.
