The Ondo State government has clarified the controversial issue regarding the renovation of a day care centre/creche in 2024 at the cost of N5 billion in the state annual budget. SaharaReporters had reported how Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration budgeted the amount for the “renovation of Day Care Centre/Creche, buying of toys, babycot walkers and beddings etc”. Also, N450 million was budgeted and approved by the state assembly for “Nigerian Women Projects (NWP) (Renovation of NWP Office, Creation of Women Affiliation Groups Cooperatives, etc.).
