Nikhat Zareen is the first Indian boxer in 14 years, other than Mary Kom, to win the gold medal at the IBA Women s World Boxing Championship. She beat Thailand s Jutamas Jitpong in the 52kg final on Thursday.
Nikhat Zareen made light work of Mongolia s Lutsaikhan Altantsetseg, the 2021 Asian Championships bronze medallist, in their round-of-16 bout of the Women s World Boxing Championships on Sunday.
