The management of a radio station in Ekiti State - Fresh FM 106.9 – has reportedly banned the airplay of all songs under the umbrella of the Marlian Music, a music record label owned by the popular Nigerian singer and rapper, Naira Marley. The ban was sequel to the growing agitation and controversy over the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, former signee of the record label. The Head of Production and Music Content of Fresh FM, Oluwaseunfunmi Williams, announced the ban on Naira Marley’s songs in a statement issued on Tuesday.
