2021/05/08 MONTE CARLO, Monaco - The Nissan e.dams team raced hard and fast in a thrilling ABB FIA Formula E World Championship Monaco E-Prix today on the world-famous Monte Carlo street circuit. Round seven of the 2020-21 all-electric racing series, the fourth running of a Formula E event here and the first race to take place on the familiar full circuit, brilliantly entertained the socially distanced fans in the grandstands. Team driver Oliver Rowland showed the improved performance and efficiency of the new Nissan Gen2 Formula E powertrain by putting his race car into the Super Pole qualifying showdown. He would start the race from P6. His teammate Sebastien Buemi had his group qualifying session interrupted by a red flag and would ultimately qualify P13. ....
The Nissan e.dams team is kicking off the new ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season at the Diriyah E-Prix energised by its results last season – a performance surge that included a victory and three podiums in the last four races, and finishing second in the teams championship. The first two races of the 2020-21 season, Formula E’s seventh, will be held behind closed doors in Saudi Arabia following the postponement of the planned season opener in Santiago, Chile, due to COVID-19. The Diriyah street circuit, set at a UNESCO World Heritage site, will host the championship’s first night races under floodlights tomorrow and on Saturday. ....
Nissany to drive for DAMS in 2021 F2 season Date published: January 30 2021 Williams development driver Roy Nissany is to join DAMS for the 2021 Formula 2 campaign, partnering Ferrari junior Marcus Armstrong. Nissany became something of a regular in the Formula 1 paddock in 2020, driving for Williams in practice sessions for the races in Spain, Italy and Bahrain, and also took part in the post-season test in Abu Dhabi. Alongside his duties as a test driver, he also competed in the F2 season, driving for Trident and finishing the year down in P19 with five points. At the end of it, he drove for DAMS in a post-season test, sparking rumours of a move, and it has now been confirmed. ....
