A ninth teenager has been arrested over the fatal beating of 17-year-old Jonathan Lewis Jr. in Las Vegas as authorities hunt for a 10th remaining suspect.
Cowed, cuffed, and being tried as adults, the four teens mumbled their replies as they stood before Judge Nadia Wood at the start of a trial which could see them jailed for life.
Jonathan Lewis, 17, was beaten to death on November 1 in an alleyway near his Las Vegas school. Four teenagers will appear in court on Tuesday charged as adults with murder.
While these four teens appeared in court late last week, the others, also aged 13-17, remain in juvenile court, waiting to be transferred to adult court
