FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Old Richardson Highway is getting a repave as part of a South Fairbanks industrial improvement project. The Alaska Department of transportation (DOT) is putting down new asphalt on portions of three roads in the coming weeks, and work on the Old Richardson has already begun. Research Volvo “They are resurface jobs, meaning we just go in there and pull up that old layer on top, and we are simply laying down new nice layer of asphalt,” said Danielle Tessen a communications specialist with the DOT. “They’re quick jobs, there is no utility work, we are not going to be there for a real long time. We get in there, we get the work done and then we get out.”
