An international organization that works to foster relationships between U.S. and international communities with people-to-people exchanges and initiatives will honor Chickasaw Nation Gov. Bill Anoatubby with its Distinguished Leadership Award.
Sister Cities International will present Anoatubby with the award during its virtual presidential inaugural celebration on Jan. 17. The organization selects recipients based on those who have made significant contributions to society through the communities they serve.
“Governor Anoatubby’s dedication to his community and the Citizen Diplomacy movement has shown that he is unquestionably a distinguished and outstanding global leader,” said Leroy Allala, president and CEO of Sister Cities International, in a news release.
