Offshore Marine People and Academy (OMPA) has launched three new technical training packages for entry into the offshore renewables industry.
It has teamed up with AIS Training, part of the 3t Energy Group, to offer the technical training packages to support new entrants into the offshore wind industry.
The aim is for young adults joining the industry or people with a cross-industry skill set, to enter into a standard training programme.
The packages include OMPA’s Introduction to offshore wind Renewables online course, GWO basic safety training, a medical examination and a CV upgrade service.
Alongside the core skills two of the packages will also focus on specific roles; rigger/slinger and wind blade technician. ....
