It took a demolition crew just a few hours to tear down a small office building on a prominent corner in Nutana earlier this week.
Now, the local developer who owns the site at Main Street and Dufferin Avenue says his best-case scenario is to start building a 15-storey apartment building with street-level commercial space in the next two months.

James Wright, who recently moved back to Saskatoon after a career in the American and National Hockey Leagues, acknowledged there are feasibility questions still to be answered, but expressed optimism about the project.

A couple with “deep roots” in Saskatoon want to rezone land in the heart of the Nutana neighbourhood for a new residential complex.
The six-storey infill development, which includes street-level townhouses below apartment-style condominiums, is planned for the south side of Main Street immediately west of the Extra Foods store on Broadway Avenue.
