Reports from Kaduna,  Bauchi, Adamawa, Kwara and a number of other state chapters revealed bitter rancour and resistance among different power blocs and party chieftains to control the machinery of the APC .

Labaran Abdul Madari said the N52 billion figure covers the provision of township roads, hospitals projects at four newly created emirates, construction of a new underpass bridge at Hotoro bypass and the completion of Dangi along Zaria road. According to a statement signed on Monday by Nura Bala Ajingi, the Press Secretary to the assembly, Hon. Labaran Abdul Madari, a member representing Warawa constituency explained that the fund was generated from internal revenue and non-interest loan from the federal government through Islamic banking.

By Sat Dec 19 2020 In the wee hours of Tuesday, news began to filter out that the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Abdul’aziz Garba Gafasa, had tendered his resignation in a handwritten letter to his colleagues. This decision led to a change of leadership in the House for the fifth time in five years. Majority Leader Kabiru Hassan Dashi and his deputy, Tasi’u Zabainawa, had similarly announced their resignation from the leadership of the House about the same time. Gafasa, in the letter, titled ‘Notification of Resignation,’ dated December 14 and addressed to the clerk and permanent secretary of the House, said he was resigning on personal grounds, while Dashi and Zabainawa did not provide any reason for their resignation.

The Speaker in a letter titled ‘Notification of Resignation’ dated December 14th and addressed to the Clerk and Permanent Secretary announced his resignation. The l Press Secretary to the speaker, Nura Bala Ajingi, confirmed the resignation of the two officials to newsmen on Tuesday. Garba-Garfasa in his resignation letter said his decision was based on his personal reasons, and appreciated the support of all the members during his stay in the position. However, the majority leader, in his one-paragraph letter of resignation addressed to the Clerk, did not state the reasons for his action.
