Street closures ahead of Mayor s Big Bang Celebration
These changes will go into effect at 7:30 a.m. July 4th.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â Various streets will be closed to prepare for the Mayor s 44th annual Fourth of July Big Bang Fireworks Celebration.
The closures go into effect at at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 4.
Here s what drivers need to know:
⢠North Shoreline Boulevard between Power Street and Coopers Alley will be closed.
⢠South Shoreline Boulevard between IH-37 and John Sartain Street will be closed.
o South Shoreline Boulevard is reduced to one lane between Power Street and IH-37.
1:29 p.m. - The Hooks game against Arkansas scheduled for tonight at Whataburger Field has been postponed.
It will be made up as part of a double-header tomorrow at Whataburger Field beginining at 4:15 p.m.
12:58 p.m. - The City of Kingsville is asking residents to consider all roads closed until further notice. Please consider all city roads closed, as many streets are covered in deep water and emergency crews may not be able to get to you. State roads are flooded as well, says a release from the city.
The city has recorded 8 to 10 inches of stormwater at different points in the city and the rain is still coming down, according to officials.

For the next three weekends, food truck festivals put on by JAG Downtown Festivals and Events will take over the corner of North Shoreline Boulevard and Palo Alto Street.
The festival will be made up of 15 rolling restaurants including Divine Treats, Fulton Kettle Corn and Pluckers Chicken Waffle. We re doing these three weekends because 2020 was a pretty bad year for all of us, said John Garcia, JAG Downtown Festivals and Events president. We re just trying to help these food trucks get back on their feet.
