that goes against what he says. that s right but the president himself is threatening war. so i don t know what that means. but i think two very aggressive men on foreign policy who have both talked about hitting north korea preemptively. and i think that they run the risk of alienating other countries that we need this this effort. i agree that there needs to be a tough line on north korea. but this bias towards war by two men who i m not sure about bolton s history if he has ever fought in a war. but it makes me nervous. and i think it s unnecessary. but i think that s what we re going to see out of this white house going forward. and there is reporting from axios today actually saying the promise never even happened. so what do you think of that kirsten? amanda i did that again. we all look the same. just joking. i was actually just texting with kirsten go ahead. i like her thoughts too. i do think that part of this

nonnuclear bomb on afghanistan against isis and underground tunnels. joining me now is william mccomb. a former senator and advisor to president the right decision, the right use of that weapon? i think it was. i think he s taking advice from his commander in the field and also secretary mattis. so i think they had a specific target. this was the right weapon for that target. and it s an indication that we have more powerful weapons. we have one even more powerful than that. but nonetheless, i think he s deferring to the tactical decisions to be made by the commanders in the field, and it s good thing. let s talk about north korea. we were talking to one of your other predecessors, and this is what he had to say about the use of force against north korea preemptively. there s a reason n u.s.

well, fred, i think the trump administration has been pretty clear about what those red lines are. clearly the option of taking military action against north korea preemptively is something that nobody wants to do. it would be catastrophic in terms of killing you know, thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of south koreans, and u.s. servicemen are in the area, too, but the trump administration has made clear that two things, should north korea launch a missile toward the united states, toward the territory such as guam, for instance, the u.s. would have no hesitation to take that missile out, and there would be military action as a result, or if north korea had a nuclear weapon that it was able to pair, to marry on one of those intercontinental ballistic missiles that it could launch toward the you state, this is something that any u.s. president would not be able to tolerate and then there could be
