Octagon Theatre THE Octagon Theatre said it is hugely grateful to receive a slice of a £30 million fund to support the arts and culture industry during the pandemic. The theatre, described as Bolton s jewel in the crown will receive £320,000 from the one-off fund which has been set up by the Weston family in response to the impact of Covid-19, which has left theatres battling for survival. The pandemic struck as the Octagon theatre was planning its biggest year since it first opened. It had undergone a multi-million pound transformation and was setting the stage for its grand reopening.
