WINCHESTER, Ky. (LEX 18) â In Thursday s LEX 18 Investigates, we told you about Ninya Mason, a Clark County woman who says she feels lost in the system when it comes to domestic violence orders and enforcing them.
Her story is not uncommon. Darlene Thomas, executive director of GreenHouse17 in Lexington, understands Mason s fear and frustration. What struck me the most is she has to try and convince a community that she is in fear and that she should not have to live this way, Thomas explained.

(LEX 18) â A Clark County woman says she feels lost in the system after repeatedly pushing authorities to get domestic violence orders against an ex-boyfriend and then have them enforced.
For more than a month, Ninya Mason has been in hiding, afraid of what may happen next. I can t work, I can t eat, I can t sleep, I can t drive my car, I can t do anything, she tells LEX 18.
She says she has been living a nightmare. Someone vandalized her car with spray paint. Her tires have also been slashed four separate times.
