GOING the extra mile for charity is always something to be admired, but the former Mayor of Halton took the idea to a whole new level. Margaret Horabin – who recently stepped down from her tenure as the borough’s Mayor – gave her Mayoral charity fund a big final push by walking 186 miles during the month of April. She walked between five and nine miles a day in aid of Nightstop Communities Northwest and the Let’s Go Stroke Club, her chosen charities for the year. By doing so, she got to see more of the borough she was representing too.
