Jaipur: Shortly after recording the sharpest single-day rise in the number of COVID-19 cases, the Rajasthan government announced a night curfew across all cities between 6 pm to 6 am. The night curfew will begin at 6 pm on April 16 and will be in effect till 6 pm on April 30.
According to the detailed guidelines issued by the state government, civilian movement, and movement of non-essential items has been restricted during the curfew hours.
According to the order, the following services will remain closed during the night hours -

In the wake of a surge in COVID-19 cases across the state, the Rajasthan government on Wednesday announced a 6 pm to 6 am night curfew in all the cities till April-end.
The order states that the night curfew will be put in place from 16 April till 30 April, until further orders.
Guidelines issued by the Rajasthan government-
1. All markets, workplaces and commercial complexes shall remain closed during the night curfew. The markets and commercial centres have been directed to close by 5 pm so that people can reach their houses by 6 pm.

A large part of India is now under restrictions, including lockdown, weekend lockdown, night curfews, closing of schools and colleges to check the surge in Covid-19 cases, which hit a grim milestone on Monday with over 1 lakh new Covid-19 cases in a single day.
