the time today was spent making sure haglin understood what she was giving up by allowing the judge along to make a decision. both sides agreed the judge would decide haglin s guilty or innocence only using the minutes of testimony. that s information the public will never see and typically is only used by prosecutors to justify bringing charges. in this case, the minutes include an interview with the victim by child protective services and a police interview with haglin. the judge explained what the defendant was opening statements, closing arguments if you agree to a stipulated trial then that means my decision will be based on information that the parties agree i should use to determine if you are guilty or innocent.do you understand that? because the judge will make the decision on information filed by prosecutors, nothing haglin decision. so the charge against her will be the original aggravated misdemeanor instead of the felony count filed later. that s important for
