AUSTIN, TX A former Travis County Sheriff s deputy involved in a shooting that left three people dead at the Arboretum Oaks Apartments apartment complex Sunday has been captured, authorities said.
Stephen Nicholas Broderick, a former property crimes detective with the county, was taken into custody without incident around 7 a.m. Monday in the 12300 block of Kimbro Road near Manor, according to the Austin Police Department and Travis County Sheriff s Office. ....

Texas police officers arrested the man who allegedly shot and killed three people on Sunday in Austin. Police described the man as a fugitive out on bond for an alleged sexual assault of a child.
Police in Manor, Texas, received a tip about a suspicious man walking on a road near U.S. Highway 290 about 18 miles from where Sunday’s shooting took place, the

The alleged gunman who killed three people Sunday near an apartment complex in Austin, Texas, was taken into police custody after a manhunt that lasted about 20 hours.
Stephen Nicholas Broderick, 41, a former detective at the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested Monday at around 7:30 a.m. after police responded to a pair of 911 calls about a man walking along a rural highway in nearby Manor, Texas.
Manor Police said Broderick had a loaded pistol in his waistband.
According to police, Broderick knew the victims. Police have not provided a possible motive. ....
