Putting their mental pain aside, a family in Kon Tum Province, located in Vietnam’s Central Highlands region, have decided to donate their teenage son’s heart, liver, kidneys, and corneas for medical purposes after the boy passed away due to serious injuries in a traffic accident lat last month.
Hoang Van Phong, 19, was severely injured in a road crash on January 28.
Phong’s parents made different attempts to save their son by bringing him to Ngoc Hoi Regional General Hospital and Kon Tum General Hospital in their hometown, as well as 211 Military Hospital in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai.
