King Sabata Dalindyebo municipal manager Ngamela Pakade was arrested by the Hawks over a multimillion-rand tender in Mthatha on Friday. Pakade was later granted R20,000 bail by the Mthatha Specialised commercial crimes court. Provincial Hawks spokesperson Captain Yolisa Mgolodela said the arrest emanated from a R18m roads rehabilitation project tender awarded by Mnquma municipality in the 2011/12 financial year.
