Definitely a compromise thats great, for the third shot, but, they made the announcement by September 20th that every american should get a booster, two prongs with that plan, one is that we didnt have good data that the effectiveness against severe disease was waning, its really holding up, and second is that they were taking data from israel, which had a unique situation. Surge is not because vaccines arent working or practices are not working. It is because the virus is more transmissible now because of the delta variant.
