Surviving lung cancer Meera Murugesan
FIVE years ago, Koh Siang Kai was diagnosed with lung cancer and he was alone when he received the news.
Like many people with the disease, Koh initially thought little could be done to treat the condition and felt overwhelmed with no options. I remember it started with a lot of coughing and one morning, I woke up coughing up blood. I went to see a doctor, did a few tests and a chest X-ray. The whole process was very stressful for me and when the result was out, I could not absorb all the information shared. Everything was a blur, he says.
