Marcella J. “Marty” Galligher, 90, a resident of Hughesville, formerly of Montgomery, passed away very peacefully on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021 in the Gatehouse at Williamsport. Born Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1930 in Welliverville, Columbia Co., she was a daughter of the late Horace and Maude (Johnson) Welliver. Marcella was the widow of Donald C. Galligher who preceded her in death on September 4, 1985.
She was a 1948 graduate of West Chillisquaque High School. Marcella retired in 1993 from Trimtex at Williamsport where she was employed as a weaver.
She was a member of Friends Church at Hughesville where she was a former Sunday School teacher, member of the choir, youth leader and led a Bible study. ....
