District plans to introduce phases of blended learning where students will attend school in person and do some Distance Learning and this is the hybrid model and the district says it expects the first phase to last for weeks and it will ensure all school sites in oakland will have enough time to implement covid 19 safety plans and the district is also encouraging everyone in the community to wear masks, students and teachers and today the plan was released after heavy and lengthy consideration with Public Health experts and school leaders. The decision was not an easy one to make. Many of the families told us they do not feel comfortable with students returning to class and many others say they want their students back in class. There are serious concerns with covid and there are serious concerns for emotional well being. I am not confident to be there with any kind of hybrid model as long as you have contact in an institutional setting, youre having spread of covid19. We have to know
