Breaking: UAE issues high waves alert starting 8pm tonight

Alert in place until 8pm on Monday.
The UAE weather department on Sunday of high waves in the Oman Sea, and urged people to exercise caution.
According to a tweet by the National Center of Meteorology, winds reaching speeds of 40kmph and waves up to 6 feet high are likely in the Oman sea.
“Fresh northwesterly to westerly winds with a speed reaching 40kmph, and rough sea with wave height reaching 6ft in the offshore Oman Sea, from 8pm Sunday, April 4, until 8pm Monday, April 5,” the bureau said in a tweet.
Rain in UAE: More showers predicted; temperature drops

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCMS) has reported light rain over some parts of the UAE on Wednesday morning.
According to a tweet by the authority, the South of Asab and Mezaira areas, and Owtaid in Al Dhafra region experienced some showers this morning. The NCMS used #cloud seeding as it alerted residents about the rains, suggesting that the enhancement technique would bring in more showers.
In an earlier note, the weather bureau had forecast rains throughout the week due to cloud seeding.
(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) The National Center of Meteorology (NCMS) has appealed to all road users and motorists to take precautions and follow traffic instructions, due to the formation of fog and the low level of horizontal visibility at its lowest levels on Friday.
Al Ruwais, Al Sila, Al Ghuwaifat in Al Dhafra area experienced dense fog in the morning, according to the centre.
Fog was also seen over parts of Dubai, Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Shewamikh, Al Shamkha and Mohammed Bin Zayed City in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road as well in areas of other emirates like Ajman Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah.
