The Mountain Monarch Festival will return to Gorges State Park in Transylvania County for its second year 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, celebr.
The N.C. Forest Service’s last county forester in Wilkes and the state has been named N.C. Cooperative Extension Service area specialized agent for forestry for the 50 western-most counties.
