The next Carson City Board of Supervisors meeting will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15 beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Bob Crowell Board Room of the Community Center, located at 851 E. William Street.
AÂ handful of former and current professional athletes â including former Major League Baseball All-Star Jesse Crain and former MLB outfielder Cody Ross â gathered recently in Scottsdale to begin renovations on the Chrysalis Transitional Housing Facility.
Magical Builders, in partnership with the Crain Family Foundation â founded by Crain and his wife Becky â are expected to complete the total renovation of the domestic violence shelter later this month.Â
âIt has been magical for Chrysalis and, well, all of us!â said Patricia Klahr, president and CEO of Chrysalis. âThey were so excited to help Chrysalis residents and their children.â
Renovations include transforming the community kitchen, family living space, computer and media area, and outdoor recreational area, as well as landscaping, and lighting, painting, furniture, electronics work, among other amenities and improvements that include the addition of computers.
