The militants are trying to seize three major cities in the South And West of the country. Theyve made rapid gains in less populated parts since it was announced almost all foreign troops withdraw by september. Taliban fighters have now entered parts of herat, kandahar, and Lashkar Gah, the capital of helmand province, once the home to british troops in the country. The fate of these key cities could be crucial amid fears of a humanitarian crisis, and there are concerns about how long Government Forces will be able to hold out. The vast majority dont have covid, many though have been pinged by the Trace And Track app. And it may have come as a surprise to some of them to see this report from the times. It told us that investment minister,lord gerry grimstone, the bbc has confirmed this too. That s right an advisory tool. Then this morning the Business Minister Paul Scully did a series of interviews. He told times radio that self isolating after being pinged was a decision for individuals and employers. And that the app is there to allow you to make informed decisions. In a further interview on the bbc, mr scully added this we are encouraging people to isolate but they need to make their own informed decisions. The legal position has not changed, you have to isolate if you are contacted by The Nhs Test And Trace or if you are collecting isolation payments. Not everyone has the app for example and so it is not mandated.
