Gwandu emirate on the grip of the people

Gwandu, the seat of the western caliphate has marked another milestone in its checkered history that routed from 1804 to 1808. The feat this time around, was the 80th birthday celebration of the 20th Emir, Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammad Iliyasu Bashar CFR, mni.
The monarch and first modern Military General in the Fulani empire founded by Sheikh Usman bn Fodio 1804 to 1808 was born at Jega town within the domains of Gwandu emirate on the 23rd of April, 1941. He ascended to the caliphate throne on 5th June, 2005 and so far spread peaceful administration in one and a half decades.
Ngouboyou
A seasoned medical practitioner and administrator, Dr. Sylvie Ngoubeyou, has been appointed to the board of Edere Energy Limited.
The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman/Chief Executive of Edere Energy, Mrs. Helen Edere Petnga.
Petnga said Ngoubeyou was bringing to bear her wealth of experience of over a 30-year active professional practice as a physician and administrator.
“We are extremely excited to have the dynamic Ngoubeyou join our diversified board and to tap from her vast experience and network”, she said.
Born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Ngoubeyou was trained in Cameroon and Brussels, Belgium. She has served as the president of the National Council National Order of Surgeons – Dentists of Cameroon, president of the National Association of Odontostomatologists of Cameroon and president of the Environmental Protection Commission for District 403 B1.
