LOUDONVILLE A rehabilitation facility in Loudonville will start treating victims of human sex trafficking on Jan. 11, Marlene Carson, representative of the U.S. Advisory Council on Human Trafficking, announced.
A victim of trafficking, Carson created the state organization Rahab Tidal Wave, in Columbus a few years ago, with the goal of protecting and rehabilitating trafficking victims. She came to the Dec. 21 Village Council meeting at the invitation of Mayor Steve Stricklen, who has been in discussion with her for several months on the possibility of her organization acquiring the former Jac-Lin Manor on South Mount Vernon Avenue.
